Why EternityArc

One platform instead of five disconnected tools

Most teams stitch together separate MDM, data quality, ETL, orchestration, and BI tools. EternityArc unifies them so your golden records flow straight through to your dashboards — no hand-offs, no re-integration.

5 in 1 MDM, data quality, ETL, orchestration and BI under one licence file
2 Databases supported for your hub — SQL Server and Oracle
0 Integrations to build between our own services
100% Of golden-record fields carry source lineage and a trust score
Differentiators

What only EternityArc puts in one product

Sixteen reasons, grouped by what an enterprise architect, a data steward and a CISO each care about.

Architecture & ownership

Own your data, your infrastructure and your bill.

One platform, five services

MDM, Data Quality, ETL, Orchestration and BI share one data model — no re-mapping and no connectors between your own tools.

Runs in your database

Deploy on the SQL Server or Oracle you already run. Golden records live in your schema, under your backups and your DBAs — no SaaS lock-in.

Predictable licensing

Licensed per service, not per processing unit. No metered bill that grows every time a pipeline reruns.

Scoped access

Register for exactly the service you need. Access is granted per service, not all-or-nothing.

Data you can trust

Every value is scored, explained and reversible.

Trust that is earned

Each value carries a trust score that decays with age. Failing a validation rule lowers it, so poor data stops winning merges on its own.

Attribute-level lineage

Every field records which source supplied it and why it survived, so an auditor's question takes seconds, not a project.

Reversible by design

Lineage is archived before it changes and merges can be undone, so a steward's mistake is a correction, not a restore.

Explainable matching

Exact, fuzzy and phonetic rules in purpose-built match plans with learned synonyms. Every match shows its score and the rule that fired.

Speed to value

Get from source systems to dashboards without a second toolchain.

Built-in ETL with pushdown

Transformations, SCD Type 2, data preview and SQL pushdown run in the same product as the hub — no separate integration licence.

Streaming stage loads

Kafka stage topics with priority tiers and lanes, so urgent sources load first and bulk loads never starve them.

Move off Informatica

A dedicated migration plugin reads your Informatica MDM configuration and master records, checks fit and corrects values on the way in.

Business-user page builder

Vision lets teams design entity pages, tabs and forms visually and publish to downstream targets on their own schedule.

Governance & security

Controls your CISO and auditors expect, switched on by default.

Search 360 & View 360

Type-ahead search, 360° record views, hierarchies and side-by-side merge review for business users — no developer in the loop.

Governance built in

Approval workflows, record-level access rules, role domains and a tamper-evident audit chain ship as standard.

Security without add-ons

AES-GCM encryption, TOTP multi-factor, SSO and LDAP across multiple directories are included, not sold as extra modules.

Private assistant

The Arc assistant answers from local retrieval. Your data and questions never leave your servers for a third-party model.

Integration count

Five tools need ten integrations. One platform needs none.

Each pair of separate tools has to be wired together, mapped and kept in sync. Add a sixth and you add five more. On EternityArc every service reads the same golden records.

Stitched-together tools vs. one platform

The difference shows up the moment a record needs to cross a system boundary.

Separate tools

  • Each system holds its own version of the same customer, vendor, or provider
  • Reconciling records for reporting or audits is a manual, recurring project
  • No shared lineage — nobody can say where a value actually came from
  • Adding a new integration means custom point-to-point plumbing
  • Dashboards run on whatever export was current when someone built them

EternityArc

  • One governed golden record per entity, shared across every module
  • Match & merge is part of every load, not a periodic clean-up project
  • Attribute-level lineage tracks the source of every field, automatically
  • Orchestrator coordinates new integrations through the same control plane
  • Insight360 dashboards read live off the same validated golden records

Choosing

Why choose EternityArc over…

Each of these is a strong product. Here is where EternityArc is the better fit.

Informatica IDMC

Best when: you want a vendor-hosted suite with the widest connector catalogue and can budget for consumption pricing.

  • No processing-unit meter, so reruns don't raise the bill
  • MDM, DQ, ETL and BI in one licence instead of separate services
  • Data stays in your own SQL Server or Oracle
  • The migration plugin brings your existing Informatica MDM across

Oracle Product Hub (PDH)

Best when: your master data is mainly product items and you already run Oracle Fusion or E-Business Suite.

  • Any domain — customer, supplier, provider, asset — not just items
  • Not tied to an Oracle application stack
  • Matching, ETL and dashboards built in
  • Runs on Oracle or SQL Server

Reltio

Best when: you want a pure SaaS, API-first hub and don't need data to stay in your own database.

  • Self-hosted: golden records stay inside your perimeter
  • ETL and BI included, no partner tools to license
  • An assistant that never sends data to an outside model
  • Per-service pricing you can forecast

Stibo Systems STEP

Best when: product information and syndication to retail channels is the main goal.

  • A lighter implementation than a long platform programme
  • Data quality, ETL and BI in the same platform
  • Business users build pages in Vision without consultants
  • Explainable matching with learned synonyms

Cost of ownership

Where the money goes over five years

Licence price is rarely the biggest number. These are the cost drivers that decide total cost of ownership.

Cost driver Typical multi-tool stack EternityArc
Licences Separate MDM, DQ, ETL and BI contracts, often each metered differently One per-service licence; add a service only when you need it
Usage growth Consumption meters rise with volume and every pipeline rerun No processing meter — reruns and growth don't change the licence
Integration build Connectors between every pair of tools, rebuilt on each upgrade None between services; they share one data model
Hosting Vendor cloud fees on top of your existing database estate Runs on the SQL Server or Oracle you already license and operate
Implementation Specialist consultants for each product One configuration model; business users build pages themselves
Audit & reconciliation Recurring manual projects to prove where values came from Lineage and trust recorded automatically on every load
Exit cost Data and logic locked in a vendor cloud Golden records already sit in your own schema

Ask us for a cost model built on your own record volumes, sources and run frequency.

Switching plan

Moving across without a big-bang cut-over

The same four phases whether you are leaving Informatica, an Oracle hub or a home-grown master.

1

Assess

Point the migration plugin at your current hub. The fit check reports which entities, rules and values move cleanly and which need attention.

2

Migrate

Configuration and master records come across with value shaping and auto-correction, keeping your existing business keys.

3

Run in parallel

Both hubs load the same sources. Compare golden records side by side until the match rates agree.

4

Cut over

Switch downstream publish targets to EternityArc one consumer at a time, with pause and manual release if anything looks wrong.

Evaluation checklist

Ten questions to ask every MDM vendor

Put these in your RFP. They separate a platform from a set of products sold together.

  1. Where do the golden records physically live? If the answer is a vendor cloud, ask what an exit costs.
  2. What does the bill do when volume doubles or a pipeline reruns? Consumption pricing turns success into cost.
  3. Are data quality, ETL and BI part of the product or separate licences? Each separate product is another integration to build and keep working.
  4. Can you show which source supplied every field of a record, and why it won? Field-level lineage is what auditors actually ask for.
  5. How is a bad merge undone, and how long does it take? If it needs a restore, it will happen at the worst time.
  6. Does trust in a value change when it fails validation or ages? Static source rankings let stale data keep winning.
  7. Can business users review matches and build screens without developers? Stewardship that waits on IT doesn't happen.
  8. Which security controls are included and which are add-ons? MFA, SSO, encryption and audit should not be upsells.
  9. Does your AI assistant send our data to an outside model? Ask for the data flow in writing.
  10. What is the documented path off our current MDM? A migration tool beats a services estimate.
Questions

What buyers ask us

Straight answers about how the platform behaves.

What if two sources disagree about the same field?

Survivorship decides per attribute — the most trusted source or the most recent one, as you configure in the trust matrix — and lineage records which source won and why.

Can a merge be undone?

Yes. Stewards can unmerge records in View 360, and the history of each field is kept, so the record can be put back the way it was.

Will bad data overwrite a good golden record?

Not silently. Empty values never overwrite existing ones, an older update never replaces a newer one, and a value that failed validation carries lower trust, so it loses to a better source.

Can we review changes before they apply?

Yes. Approval workflows route changes to reviewers first, and reviewers can get a digest email of what is waiting.

How are DEV, QA and PROD kept apart?

Each environment has its own database and its own accounts. Configuration moves between them by export and import, not by sharing a database.

Can AI agents change our master data?

Not directly. Agents read through the MCP server and can only propose an update, merge or flag; each proposal waits in the approval queue, marked AI suggested, until a steward accepts it.

Does EternityArc send our data to an AI model?

Only if you turn it on. Agent access and the built-in AI agents are off by default, privacy-safe mode withholds personal and sensitive columns, and the built-in agents use the AI provider key you configure.

Do we have to adopt all five services?

No. Register for one service and add others later. Because they share the same golden records, the second needs no re-integration.
